What happens when students, diplomats, and big ideas come together on one campus? You get the very first edition of the European Day, a vibrant, inspiring event held yesterday on our Yangpu Eurocampus.
Organized under the Polish EU Presidency and supported by the Consulate General of France in Shanghai, the event brought together 14 Consuls from across Europe :

Spain
Switzerland
Together with our MUN (Model United Nations) students and secondary students from Yangpu, they explored what it means to be European today: cooperation, open dialogue, and peace.
We also had the honor of welcoming representatives from the European Chamber of Commerce, our School Board Members, and our pedagogical and administrative leadership teams.
The day opened with an official welcome from our students, each paired with a Consul, followed by a tour of our campus.
Then it was time for the opening ceremony! It started with official opening speeches, the European anthem performed by our double-campus choir, and a standout song by two of our most talented student singers. It was such an unforgettable ceremony!
It was then followed by interactive workshops with the Consuls and a high-level debate fully led and moderated by our students: a performance that truly impressed everyone with their insight and maturity.
From heartfelt discussions to big questions about Europe’s future, the event offered a unique space for intercultural exchange and active citizenship, exactly the kind of education that goes beyond textbooks.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the Consuls and Representatives from the European Consulates who honored us with their presence, they gave our students the invaluable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue.
We also warmly thank the dedicated organizers from Shanghai French School whose hard work made this exceptional day possible.
