The School Development Plan translates the vision of the LFS Board of Governors into concrete educational priorities. Its goal is to nurture knowledgeable, innovative, responsible and engaged students who can thrive in a complex and constantly changing world.
Our Vision for 2026–2030
Our ambition is built around four complementary strategic priorities.
Our Four Strategic Priorities
Priority 1 — Arts, Cultures and Heritage
Developing a cultural identity that embraces the world
- Draw on local and international artistic resources
- Foster cultural and linguistic diversity through the arts
- Encourage exchanges across generations and cultures
- Help students understand the distinctive features of French and Chinese cultures
- Structure and promote the Arts and Cultural Education Pathway (PEAC)
Priority 2 — Developing the Use of Technology
Preparing students for the technologies of tomorrow
- Build a new digital infrastructure for learning and work
- Introduce a unified digital platform
- Teach students to use digital technology and AI thoughtfully and responsibly
- Involve families in digital education
- Develop innovative projects, including a teaching and learning innovation lab and AI initiatives
- Define a clear digital strategy
Priority 3 — Citizenship Education for the Challenges of the 21st Century
Nurturing responsible and engaged citizens
- Promote solidarity, equality and mutual support
- Educate students about the environmental dimension of sustainable development
- Foster a harmonious school environment
- Empower students to take responsibility and play an active role in school life
- Broaden students’ engagement with the arts, culture, digital technology and the wider world
- Encourage attitudes and habits that support a healthy lifestyle
Priority 4 — Staff Training and Professional Development
Strengthening staff expertise and fostering innovation in teaching and learning
- Provide an introduction to teaching at LFS for newly appointed teachers
- Develop international, intercultural and cross-professional perspectives
- Offer language training
- Provide targeted, personalised professional development
- Strengthen expertise in inclusion and supporting additional needs
- Encourage colleagues to share resources and learn from one another
- Support self-directed professional learning
- Strengthen relationships with families
Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
Progress on the School Development Plan will be monitored through:
- Indicators defined for each objective
- An annual progress review presented to the relevant governing bodies
- Regular communication with the school community
- Ongoing evaluation to refine actions as needed
