36 students joined the swimming competition organised at Nanjing International School to defend the LFS colours last weekend. We followed them to highlight the first sports competition outside of the school in which we participate in several years!
Facing ten other schools from Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, and Hangzhou, and despite our physical absence from competitions over the past few years, our swimmers gave everything they had during these two days, supported by their coaches, the chaperones, as well as the many parents who came to support their children!
Congratulations to our team of swimmers in the 15 & Over Women category for winning the trophy against 9 teams, as well as our youngest swimmers for retrieving numerous “Heat Winner”, ribbons awarded to swimmers showing a significant progression by arriving 1st on their race.
Not only our students gave everything to their swimming, but they also marked the community by their team spirit and joy to be present. Cohesion and support, moments of friendship during lunch breaks and encouragements, our students went back to Shanghai with the trophy of the best team spirit!
We are extremely proud and moved to see that events are now part of our students’ life and our community again. And we are ready for what is coming next.
