The first part of the 2020-21 season of the LFS football competitions has just ended and we are very proud of our players who arrived on the podium against the opposing teams!

Football is one of the competitive activities of the ASCs (sporting and cultural activities) of the LFS. This section is reserved for young girls and boys with a taste for performance and wishing to compete with other Shanghai clubs and schools through SIYFOL (Shanghai International Youth Football League) league matches.

This league, which offers 9 categories for children aged 7 to 16, brings together Chinese and international schools in Shanghai, for a total of 123 teams.

Our under-14 team (U14) came in second on the podium with 24 points, which heralds a very good next season which will start in March and end in June.

Our under-16 team (U16) won brilliantly in their category, taking first place! Our champions end this first season with the best attack (56 goals scored, an average of 7 goals per game) and the best defense in the championship (only 3 goals conceded).

Competition at the LFS

11 sports are on the program of our competitions section. They are divided into two groups:

Individual sports: athletics, badminton, dance, climbing, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis.

Team sports: basketball, football, rugby, volleyball.

The students represent our school in the competitions scheduled on weekdays and weekends. Depending on the sport and the category, they have 1 to 2 training sessions per week and are supervised by experienced coaches.
